| Objective:To evaluate the efficiency of Traditional Chinese Medicine of expelling wind and dampness pathogen combining with tonifying Qi and blood method treating with rheumatoid arthritis-induced anemia patients.Methods:Totally40cases of rheumatoid arthritis patients were divided into three groups, a treatment group with20cases treated with decoction which can expel wind and dampness pathogen as well as tonify Qi and blood while the other two control groups each was treated with methotrexate (MTX) and tripterygium glycosides (TGT). Three-months’treatment was as one course. After one treatment course, both the clinical efficacy and laboratory indexes should be compared.Results:In both treatment and control groups, symptoms such as the number of painful joints and swelling joints, morning stiffness time, and a series of blood deficiency symptoms containing weakness, dizziness and palpitation, sallow or pale complexion as well as those laboratory indexes including hemoglobin (Hb), red blood cell count (RBC), rheumatoid factor (RF), C-creative protein (CRP) and blood sedimentation (ESR) improved more or less. And among them, compared with control groups, improvement of symptoms and laboratory indexes of treatment group and its safety indexes were better than the other two groups, with significant difference.Conclusion:In treating with rheumatoid arthritis-induced anemia patients, the prescription which has the function of expelling wind and dampness pathogen as well as tonifying Qi and blood is more effective compared with the MTX group and TGT group. The former can effectively improve the symptoms and laboratory indexes, with significant difference. |
