Clinical Study On The Postherpetic Neuralgia With Round Acupuncture And Its Effect On IL-6

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Surrounding Needling on postherpetic neuralgia (PHN).while further to investigate the Possible anti-inflammatory and analgesic mechanism of Surrounding Needling in treating PHN. Methods:We select60Patients with the PHN,Then used randomized control group research method, divided them into two groups for treatment.one group of30Patients is using the Surrounding Needling (the treatment group) while the other group of30patients is using the Western medicine,(the drug group).two groups were not statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in gender、age、disease duration,etc. before treatment,so that those two groups are comparable. Both the two groups Patients are treated once a day,and after6days rest1day. Each6days’ treatment is one course of treatment,each Patient must to complete the treatment of18times. We are use the visual analogue scale(VAS), the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS)、sleep efficiency and IL-6changes as the integrated effect of therapeutic index, with reference to the Response Evaluation Criteria evaluable。 Results1.The clinical efficacy of Surrounding Needling on PHN is significant and certainly.the treatment group total efficiency is93.3%and the drug group is73.3%,Comparison of two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).2.After treatment, compared with two groups VAS integral、self-rating depression scale score has a significant difference (P<0.05), the treatment group is better the quality of sleep results has no significant difference between two groups.3.In this study:two groups of patients with IL-6content does not have a significant difference before and after treatment (P>0.05). ResultsCurative effect observation on the postherpetic neuralgia with Surrounding Needling has a good effect on the patient’s pain、sleep quality、mentalstatus,symptoms and other aspects of comprehensive,and more effective than the control group.our treatment of the subject are secure,satisfactory,and convenient for the PHN patients.
