Objective:To study the relationship between expression of MAGE-A3and prognosis, prognosis in patients with non-small lung cancer. Methods:The expression of MAGE-A3is detected in74non-small cell lung cancer tissues and15adjacent non-cancerous lung tissues by immunohistochemistry method. Results:The expression of MAGE-A3in lung cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent non-cancerous lung tissues(P<0.05). The expression of MAGE-A3in adenocarcinoma was significanty higher than of that in squmas cell carcinomas(P<0.05).The disease-free rates(DFS) was lower in patients with MAGE-A3express than in not express group(P>0.05)),further stratified analytic indicated that in adenocarcinoma group was significantly between the different expression of MAGE-A3; The results of multivariable Cox model ahalysis showed that detection of the expression of MAGE-A3might be helpful for predicting prognosis of patients with lung cancer. Conclusion:The expression of MAGE-A3in lung cancer tissues is48.6%in NSCLC, these results indicate that the expression of MAGE-A3in non-small cell lung cancer was significantly higher that the normal tissues. MAGE-A3expression in the adenocarcinoma was significantly higher than in the squamous cell carcinoma (P<0.05). But with lymph node status, tumor cell differentiation, clinical stage, there had no correlation (P>0.05). No association was observed for MAGE-A3expression and the age, sex, histological grade, clinical stage and lymphatic metastasis. In adenocarcinoma, the recurrence and metastasis rate in MAGE-A3positive groups was higher than that in the negative group.MAGE-A3expression may be one of the poor prognosis factor of NSCLC patients. |
