| Objective: To explore the relationship between TP enzyme activity and the curativeeffect of XELOX neo-adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with colorectal cancer, which can provide guiding significance for personalized neo-adjuvant chemotherapyin the future.Methods:1. TP positive expression rate in colorectal cancer tissue was68percent(17/25) while it was only ten percent (2/20) in normal mucosal tissue with P<0.001,which showed statistical significance. TP positive expression rate in colorectalcancer tissue was higher than that in normal mucosal tissue;2. XELOXchemotherapeutic effect: the disease control was CR+PR+SD with the positiveexpression rate of87.5percent(14/16); progressive disease was PD with thepositive expression rate of33.33percent (3/9). Since the p=0.010<0.05, whichshows the statistical significance. The TP positive expression rate in disease control(CR+PR+SD) group was higher than that in progressive disease group;3. In thepatients with colorectal cancer, the TP positive expression rate in the lymphaticmetastasis group was57.14percent (8/14), the positive expression rate in the withoutlymphatic metastasis group was only81.82percent (9/11) with the p=0.378>0.05,which shows without statistical significance. The positive expression rate of TP withlymphatic metastasis in patients with colorectal cancer was higher than that withoutlymphatic metastasis group.4. In the colorectal cancer tissues, the TP positiveexpression rate in male patients was56percent (14/25) while it was only12percent(3/25) in female patients with p=0.010<0.05, which also showed statisticalsignificance. The TP positive expression rate in male patients was higher than that infemale patients;5. The TP positive expression of p>0.05in age, tissue differentiationdegree and pathological staging showed no statistical significance. Conclusions: TP positive expression rate in colorectal cancer tissue was higher thanthat in normal mucosal tissue; And the XELOX chemotherapeutic effect analysiswere as follows: First, the TP positive expression rate in disease control (CR+PR+SD)group was higher than that in progressive disease (PD) group; Besides, this kind of rate in male patients was higher than that in female patients. What’s more, the highexpression of TP in patients with colorectal cancer makes it possible to predict theeffect of XELOX and to provide certain theoretical basis for individuationmultimodality therapy. |
