Expression Of Apolipoprotein A-I In The Granulosa Cells Of Patients With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective： To study the expression of apolipoproteinA-I (ApoA-I) ingranulosa cells(GCs) of the polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) patients.Methods：Collected GCs samples from the PCOS(n=20) and controlwomen(n=20) undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET)treatment for male factors or tubal factors at the time of oocyte retrieval,and collected their fasting serum samples on the preoprative examinationday before IVF cycles. The expression of ApoA-I protein in GCs wasdetected by western blotting, ApoA-I mRNA in GCs was analyzed byreal-time polymerase chain reaction(Real-time PCR), the serum ApoA-Ilevel was measured by immunoturbidimetry.Results： The PCOS group had significantly lower levels of ApoA-Iprotein and mRNA expression in GCs as well as lower serum ApoA-I levelthan the control group (P＜0.001；P＜0.01；P＜0.05).Conclusion: The expression of ApoA-I is down-regulated in GCs ofPCOS patients，which had some significance in studing the etiology andpathogenesis of PCOS and its diagnosis and treatment.
