Objective: Based on the results of pharmacological activity screening and the chemical component extraction experiments, it was hoped to find the effective partsand components in Kalimeris indica (L.) Sch-Bip of anti-influenza activity. Thesubstance basis in Kalimeris indica (L.) Sch-Bip of anti-influenza activity waswanted to expound preliminarily. Methods: Kalimeris indica (L.) Sch-Bip was immersed in80%ethanol solutionto obtain percolation fluid. Fluid was concentrated without alcohol, which enrichmented by the AB-8, frist washed with water, then divided into different partswith30%,60%,90%ethanol elution.Three different parts were used to do experiental anti-influenza activity, then the effective parts were determined through it.Compounds were isolated and purified with silicagel, RP-18and Sephadex LH-20chromatography. Their structures were identified on the basis of the spectraldataof MS, NMR and others. Results: Through the pharmacological activity screening experiment that tiger A/Tiger/Harbin/01/2002strains of H5N1avian influenza virus can be restrained atconcentration of more than150μg·ml-1by the30%and90%ethanol extract.17compounds were isolated and identified as(22E,24R)-ergota-7,22-diene-3β-ol(1),aurantiamide acetate(2),(22E,24R)-5α,8α-epidioxy-ergosta-6,22-dien-3β-ol(3), oleanic acid(4),(1Z,3E,9S)-1,3-diene-5-ethylene-8,9-dimethyl-9-(3-carboxy)-cyclodecyl-4-formic acid(5),6-isopropyl-7-(3-oxobutyl)bicyclo[3.2.0]heptan-3-one(6), coniferyl alcohol(7), umbelliferone(8), genkwanin(9), sygringaresinol(10),15-oxo-14,16H-strictic acid(11), lariciresinol(12),3,7,11-trimethyl-1,6-dodecadien-3,10,11-triol(13), neoechinulin A(14), pinoresinol(15),1-(3,4,5-tTrimethoxypheny) ethanone(16), apigenin-7-O-β-D-glucoside(17).Conclusion: Compound5and6are two new compound. Other15compoundwere isolated from this plant for the first time. Tiger A/Tiger/Harbin/01/2002stra ins of H5N1avian influenza virus can be restrained at concentration of more than150μg·ml-1by neoechinulin A.
