Objective To evaluate the clinical results of titanium miniplate internal fixation in the unilateral open-door laminoplasty of multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (MCSM)Methods Review the28cases with multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (MCSM) form the orthopaedics of the affiliated hospital of Chengdu university of TCM and the Spine department of sichuan orthopaedic hospital treated by open-door laminoplasty with titanium miniplate internal fixation from October2010to September2012. According to JOA score of pre-,post-operations and the final follow-up, the change of imaging(cervical vertebrae sagittal diameter and cervical lordosis) and post-operative complications to analyse the surgical results. Results All cases were followed up for5months to8months(average6.2months).Through the analysis of JOA scores of pre-,post-operations and the final follow-up showed that the surgical results for CSM were opositive. There were statistically significant differences of cervieal vertebrae siglttal diameter of pre-operations and post-Operations(p<0.01), the differences of cervieal vertebrae siglttal diameter of post-operations and the final follow-up have no significant differences (P>0.05). There were statistically differences of cervical lordosis of pre-operations and the final follow-up(P<0.05). At2weeks after surgery, the mean incidence of axial symptoms and C5nerve root palsy was32.1%. The incidence of axial symptoms wasl4.3%at the final follow-up, no screw loosening and reclose of the opened laminae were observed in the all cases. Conclusions Operation using open-door laminoplasty with titanium miniplate internal fixation for multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (MCSM) is a effective, safe, simple and fewer compli-cation method. The operation method are effective in the treatment on multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (MCSM)... |
