Correlation Of Plasma Cell Membrane Glycoprotein-1Gene Polymorphism With Coronary Heart Disease In Hunan Han

BACKGROUND:Coronary heart disease is an important disease that seriously threating to human health and life. At the same time, is also one of the important factors affecting the quality of life in the persons. The study found that coronary heart disease is a multifactorial disease. Among them, gene polymorphisms and mutations play very important roles in the occurrence and development of coronary heart disease. Many studies show that plasma cell membrane glycoprotein-1gene polymorphism is closely to insulin resistance and type2diabetes. Diabetes and insulin resistance are independent risk factors of coronary heart disease. Therefore, we hypothesized that the plasma cell membrane glycoprotein-1gene polymorphism may be associated with coronary heart disease. This study was designed to evaluate whether the genatic polymorphisms in Plasma cell membrane glycoprotein-1is associated with coronary heart disease in Huan Han nationality population by a case-control study. Methods:Subjects were investgated in this study, including cases diagnosed as Coronary Heart Disease, healthy subjects. Two groups were similar in age, sex. All participants were collected5ml fasting venous blood. The blood were treated with DNA Extraction Kit of genomic DNA. Amplified DNA fragments by polymerase chain reaction(PCR), gene sequences were determined in the two groups by capillary electrophoresis. Two groups of genotypes and allele frequencies were got. The clinical data were also analyzed.Results:1、There was a significant difference in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, fasting glucose levels, BUN, Cr, TC between cases and controls(P<0.05). UA、ALT、TG、LDL-C in case group were higher than that in control group, but no significant differences(P>0.05).2、Genotype frequencies for PC-1rs1044498KK, KQ, QQ genotype were89(86.4%)、14(13.6%)、0(0%), respectively, in cases, and84(87.5%)、12(12.5%)、0(0%), respetively, in controls. No difference in genotype distribution of PC-1rs1044498polymorphism (X2=0.052, P=0.819).Conclusions: In Hunan Han population, PC-1gene K121Q(rs1044498) polymorphism may not associated with the susceptibility of coronary heart disease.
