Objective:Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumor in women, in recent years showed a rising trend, the early discovery, early diagnosis, early treatment is the key to improve the survival period after operation. Ultrasonic scattering breast imaging system (OPTIMUS) is a kind of dual mode composite technology, used in early diagnosis and evaluation of curative effect of breast cancer. This study retrospectively analyzed1948cases of OPTIMUS confirmed by operation pathology performance and compared with pathology results, evaluate the clinical application value of OPTIMUS in differentiating benign and malignant breast lesions for mammary gland disease. Methods:A retrospective analysis of2011January to2012April during breast surgery, Central South University Xiangya No.2Hospital outpatient breast examination room, application of OPTIMUS examination and OPTIMUS system in1948cases of breast masses’properties of performance confirmed by operation and pathology slice, compared with the pathological results, rate, specificity, sensitivity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value, positive likelihood ratio and negative likelihood ratio, false positive rate and false negative rate, Youden index of diagnostic evaluation of OPTIMUS system. Results:1948cases of breast mass,1385cases were confirmed by pathology after operation and563cases of benign lesions, malignant lesions; breast cancer563cases,392cases of breast cysts,609cases of mammary gland fibroma, other384Cases with benign breast disease.1388cases of OPTIMUS diagnosis of benign lesions, malignant in560cases;61false positive cases,64false negative cases. The study showed:rate of93.6%(1823/1948,95%CI:92.5%-94.7%) with the diagnosis of OPTIMUS, sensitivity of88.6%(499/563,95%CI:86.0%-91.2%), specificity of95.6%(1324/1385,95%CI:94.5%-96.7%), positive predictive value of89.1%(499/560,95%CI:86.5%-91.7%), negative predictive value of95.4%(1324/1388,95%CI:94.3%-96.5%), positive likelihood ratio of4.4%(61/1385,95%CI:3.3%-5.5%), negative likelihood ratio of11.4%(64/563,95%CI:8.8%-14.0%), false positive rate of20.14, false negative rate of0.12, Youden index of0.842and the Youden index of the standard error1.338。Conclusion:This study demonstrated that:there were significant differences between breast benign and malignant tumor between the HBT; HBT has the certain value in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant; OPTIMUS diagnosis was compared with pathological results, the diagnostic coincidence rate93.6%, sensitivity88.6%, specificity 95.6%, positive predictive value of89.1%, negative predictive value of95.4%and Youden index of0.842. These results are consistent with other domestic scholars’reported. OPTIMUS system for differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast masses, can effectively improve the detection rate of breast cancer, especially in the early diagnosis of breast cancer, provide more valuable information for clinical, showing significant value in improving the quality of life of patients with breast cancer, has certain application prospect.
