Objective: To inquire into the early clinical curative effect of internal fixation ofpatellar comminuted fracture by hollow headless screws cooperate with titanium cable. Methods: This study to select the patients from the Second Hospital of DalianMedical University from June2011to March2013during hospitalization and diagnosisfor patellar comminuted fracture. Of which male16example,female6example; agedfrom31to68years old;All these are by open reduction and internal fixation by hollowheadless compression screws cooperate with titanium cable do not adopt thepostoperative external fixation, each patient do the active rehabilitation exercises on timeby our advices. Results:All patients of which22example by operated were followed-up for6months after discharge.Everyone obtained the clinical healing, the average time of thefracture healing is8-12weeks. Restoration of the knee joint motion was excellent in15cases and good in7cases according to Bostman score system. Conclusions:The hollow headless compression screws is the one of the types ofinternal fixation which apply to patellar comminuted fracture, and there is an excellentadvantage of biomechanics when cooperating with Cable. So It has obvious advantage inthe aspect of the biomechanics,so the knee joint is allowed to do the activenon-weight-bearing earlier.Hence it has a good role in the aspects of promoting fracturehealing, preventing the knee joint stiffness and quadriceps atrophy,...
