Abstract/Summary:
Purpose:To observe the effect of different digestive tract reconstruction afterradical surgery for gastric cancer on glucose metabolism in patients complicated withtype2diabetes.Methods:The retrospective analysis was made in64cases who undergone radicalsurgery for gastric cancer and complicated with type2diabetes from October,2010toOctober,2012in our hospital. These patients were divided into3groups by differentkinds of digestive tract reconstruction Billroth I(n=26),Billroth II(n=22)and Roux-en-Y(n=16).The circumstances of weight、fasting blood glucose(FBG)、2h postprandialblood glucose(2hPG)and amount of insulin were compared before operation and afteroperation one month, three months and six months in these groups. Results: The levels of weight、 blood glucose and amount of insulin have nostatistically significant; The levels of weight、 blood glucose and amount of insulinbefore operation are lower than after Reconstruction of digestive tract operation,Comparing between every two groups, the differences are statistically significan(tP<0.05); but there were not significant differences between group Billroth II and groupRoux-en-Y.The effective control rates of blood glucosewere15.3%,81.8%,81.3%after operation six months. Conclusion:It is effective for controlling the blood glucose of type2diabetes withthree Reconstruction of digestive tract operation, group Billroth II or group Roux-en-Yare better than that of Billroth I,but there were not significant differences between group Billroth II and group Roux-en-Y.
