Observation Of Curative Effect Of Jianpihuashi Method In Treating Ulcerative Colitis With Spleen Deficiency And Dampness Syndrome

Objective:Observation of curative effect and safety evaluation of JianPiHuaShi method in treating ulcerative colitis with Spleen Deficiency and Dampness Syndrome.Methods:Targets in this project were selected from the inpatients and outpatients in Changzhou TCM Hospital affiliated to Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine from January of2012to January of2013. According to the visiting sequence,40patients meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group with20members and control group with20members. The patients of treatment group were given Shenling Baizhu San while the patients of control group were asked to take Mesalazine SR Granules, lasted for8weeks each treatment.After the course of treatment, the two groups were compared with the clinical comprehensive curative effect, TCM syndrome efficacy, TCM symptom integral, change of clinlcal symptom, therapeutic effect of mucous membrane under endoscope and the change of erythrocyte sedimentation rate.Results:After the treatment, comparing the clinical comprehensive curative effect, TCM syndrome efficacy, TCM symptom integral, therapeutic effect of mucous membrane under endoscope and the changes of erythrocyte sedimentation rate of the two group there is no statistic significant difference(p>0.05). There is statistic significance between the two groups in therapy of clinical symptom changes in diarrhea,abdominal pain,poor appetite and lassitude(p<0.05).The treatment group had no obvious adverse reactions after the treatment.5patients in control group had light adverse effcct including nausea and vomitting, decrease of white blood cells and abnormal liver function.Conclusion:There is no statistic significant difference in overall effect in treatment of ulcerative colitis comparing Shenling Baizhu San with Mesalazine SR Granules. However,the therapeutic effect of Shenling Baizhu San was better than Mesalazine SR Granules in some of the clinical symptom and showed its superiority in the betterment of living quality.Compared with western medicine,it had no obvious side-effect.
