OBJECTIVETo detect the changes of serum VEGF、PDGF and Ang-2before and after microwaveablation in patients with lung cancer; To observed the dynamic variation of serum VEGF、PDGF and Ang-2after microwave ablation in patients with lung cancer; To study thedynamic changes of serum VEGF、PDGF and Ang-2levels after microwave ablation inpatients with lung cancer; To investigate the difference of serum VEGF、PDGF and Ang-2levels between the patients with lung cancer and the healthy persons. To determine theimpact of microwave ablation on the serum levels of the main angiogenic factors duringspecific stages after surgery, and provided the experimental basis for follow-up treatmentand intervention.METHODSThirty patients who were diagnosed with lung cancer were taked5ml venous bloodbefore microwave ablation and the day of3,7,14after microwave ablation. In half an hour, the venous blood was centrifuged for serum, then, keep the serum at-80℃for test. In thesame way, collect thirty healthy persons’ serum. The serum VEGF、PDGF and Ang-2concentration were evaluated by ELISA (Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, ELISA).RESULTS①The concentrations of VEGF, PDGF and Ang-2in persons with lung cancer beforemicrowave were:701.44±260.26pg/ml,1261.43±328.32pg/ml,1936.38±761.24pg/ml, respectively; The concentrations of VEGF, PDGF and Ang-2in normal personswere:151.38±57.15pg/ml,626.33±127.98pg/ml,1054.81±301.55pg/ml, respectively. Serum VEGF、 PDGF and Ang-2levels in lung cancer group weresignificantly higher than those healty groups, The difference were statistically significant(P<0.05);②The concentrations of VEGF in persons with lung cancer on the day of3,7,14after microwave ablation were:1223.65±548.44pg/ml,1606.92±619.43pg/ml,361.43±59.93pg/ml, respectively; The concentrations of PDGF in persons with lungcancer on the day of3,7,14after microwave ablation were:1771.82±631.57pg/ml,2057.18±867.12pg/ml,909.12±386.22pg/ml, respectively; The concentrations ofAng-2in persons with lung cancer on the day of3,7,14after microwave ablation were:2664.22±778.15pg/ml,3600.74±900.38pg/ml,2043.91±499.87pg/ml,respectively. Serum VEGF、PDGF and Ang-2levels were elevated on the day of3,7aftermicrowave ablation (P <0.05). Then serum VEGF、PDGF and Ang-2levels dropped on theday of14after microwave ablation (P <0.05). The differences were statistically significant.CONCLUSION①Microwave ablation can make the levels of serum VEGF, PDGF and Ang-2increase in patients with lung cancer.②Afther the microwave ablation, serum VEGF, PDGF and Ang-2levels in personswith lung cancer will increase temporarily, then decrease in the next time.③This study point out that microwave ablation can influence the serum levels ofsome tumor growth factors within a certain period, thus the microwave ablation makeeffects on the growth and metastasis of tumor and the prognosis of the disease. We shouldtake these factors into account in the follow-up treatment, and treat the tumor in allusion tothese tumor growth factors when necessary.④T he high levels of serum VEGF, PDGF and Ang-2in lung cancer might be helpfulin diagnosis for lung cancer.
