Objective:Polypoid lesions of gallbladder(PLG)and colon polyps often exist in clinicalwork at the same time, there is no clear conclusion about their connection. This articleis try to preliminarily reveal the possible relationship between PLG and colon polypsby a retrospective case study.Methods:Select136colon polyps patients as case group and399chronic gastritis patientsas control group. All cases in both groups were admitted to the second affiliatedhospital of Nanchang university from August2009to August2012.Calculate thecases associated with PLG in both groups,in addition make χ~2test statistical analysiscombined with factors such as gender, age, pathological diagnosis by colonoscopy.Results:1.15patients accompanied with PLG in case group,including10males and5females;18patients accompanied with PLG in control group,including6males and12females.①The2×2χ~2test of the percentage accompanied with PLG between casegroup and control group results showed:the percentage accompanied with PLG incase group was significantly higher than that in control group, there was a significantdifference (χ~2value=7.446,P=0.006<0.01,OR=2.624,95%confidence interval1.284to5.364).②The2×2χ~2test of the percentage accompanied with PLG between malesubgroups of case group and control group results showed:there was statisticalsignificance on difference between the both subgroups(χ~2value=4.401,P=0.036<0.05,OR=2.942,95%confidence interval1.032to8.393).③The2×2χ~2test of thepercentage accompanied with PLG between female subgroups of case group andcontrol group results showed:there was no statistical significance on differencebetween the both subgroups(χ~2value=2.797,P=0.094>0.05,OR=2.479,95%confidence interval0.829to7.416).The statistical difference between different gendersubgroups of case group and control group illustrates that PLG is closely related to the male colon polyps group.2. The2×2χ~2test of the percentage accompanied with PLG between male andfemale subgroups within case group results showed:there was no statisticalsignificance on difference between the both subgroups(χ~2value=0.0005,P>0.05,OR=0.988,95%confidence interval0.316to3.083).The2×2χ~2test of thepercentage accompanied with PLG between male and female subgroups withincontrol group results showed:there was no statistical significance on differencebetween the both subgroups(χ~2value=0.130,P>0.05,OR=0.832,95%confidenceinterval0.306to2.266).It suggests that whether in case group or control group, thepercentage accompanied with PLG between different gender subgroups has nosignificant difference.3.11patients accompanied with PLG in the adenomatous polyps subgroup, thepositive percentage is18.64%(1159).4patients accompanied with PLG in thenon-adenomatous polyps subgroup, the positive percentage is5.20%(477).The2×2χ~2test of the percentage accompanied with PLG between the both subgroups resultsshowed:there was statistical significance on difference between the both subgroups(χ~2value=6.157,P<0.05,OR=4.182,95%confidence interval1.259to13.899),shows thatPLG is especially closely related to the adenomatous polyps.Conclusion:1.The percentage accompanied with PLG in case group was significantly higherthan that in control group, suggests that there is a certain relationship between PLGand colon polyps. And the positive relationship between PLG and colon polyps ismainly manifested in the male population.2.The percentage accompanied with PLG in the adenomatous polyps subgroupwas significantly higher than that in the non-adenomatous polyps subgroup, furthersuggests that there is a certain relationship between PLG and colon polyps especiallythe adenomatous polyps.3.The percentage accompanied with PLG in colon polyps there was nosignificant difference in gender.
