| Objectives: In the study we analyzed Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)inexhaled breath of lung cancer and normal healthy people using extractive electrosprayionization mass spectrometry(EESI-MS)and screened the characteristic of VolatileOrganic Compounds in exhaled breath of lung cancer, analyzed the effects of VolatileOrganic Compounds in exhaled breath under different condition. Methods:We chose12cases of normal healthy volunteers and33casesdiagnosed as lung cancer in thoracic surgery and respiratory medicine of the firstaffiliated hospital of nanchang university from October2012to March2013.Collected exhaled breath of patients before treatment in Tedlar bag and analysedVolatile Organic Compounds in lung cancer and normal healthy people exhaledbreath using extractive electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, then screened thecharacteristic of Volatile Organic Compounds in exhaled breath of lung cancer.Results:(1) There are negligible in the study of exhaled breath under differenttemperature (25℃and42℃) and collectingbreath samples in differentenvironment.(2) Tedlar bag can be used to store exhaled breath and other gases, the signal ofexhaled breath gradually decay with time as stored in Tedlar bag, it is should bedetected the signa of exhaled breath in3hours.(3) The detection rate of6kinds of Volatile Organic Compounds (pentane,heptanal,16aldehydes,4-methyl-octane, tridecane,5-methyl-kwai alkanes) inexhaled breath of lung cancer is higher than normal healthy volunteers. There arestatistical differences (P <0.05). This study indicating that the6kinds of VolatileOrganic Compounds may be the characteristic of Volatile Organic Compounds inexhaled breath of lung cancer.Conclusions:(1) The kinds of Volatile Organic Compounds (pentane, heptanal,16aldehydes,4-methyl-octane, tridecane,5-methyl-kwai alkanes) in lungcancer exhaled breath is higher than normal healthy volunteers. This study indicating that the6kinds of Volatile Organic Compounds may be the characteristic of VolatileOrganic Compounds in exhaled breath of lung cancer. |
