Objective: Try to analyze and extract the risk factors and elements of TCM syndromefrom the analysis of cognitive impairment after stroke patients’ clinical information, provide reference and basis for the study of TCM syndrome of vascular cognitiveimpairment after stroke. Methods: Establish a clinical questionnaire, collect information in the medical recordof patients with cognitive impairment after stroke, investigate risk factors withneuropsycologic scale, extract symptoms over23times as main symptoms, preservefrequency over15%of four diagnostic information, extract the factors by SPSS17.0software, differentiate the common factors as the elements of TCM syndrome of cognitiveimpairment after stroke. Results: This research analyzes people who met inclusion criteria withneuropsycologic scale, discovers a history of diabetes mellitus and cerebral vasculardisease have a certain influence on the cognitive impairment, and agedness, lower standardof education, decreased the ability of daily life and neural funtion defect are closely relatedwith cognitive impairment.13common factors are extracted through factor analysis from36Symptoms of113cases of cognitive impairment after stroke. Syndrome elements ofdisease location are heart, liver, spleen and kidney, and respectively syndrome elements ofdisease characteristic are phlegm, blood stasis, fire, wind, Yang-hyperactivity, Yangdeficiency, Spleen deficiency, Qi deficiency, Yin deficiency, which are consistent withclinical observation. Conclusion: The basic pathogenic place of cognitive impairment after stroke is brain, and has a close correlation with the heart, liver, spleen and kidney. Deficiency of Zang-FuQi and blood is the pathological basis, blood stasis, phlegm-damp is the main pathologyfactor, all of the patients have the characteristic of mingled with asthenia and sthenia.Research on factor analysis applied to syndrome elements of cognitive impairment after stroke is feasible, and it is considered that the result can provide objective evidence forsyndrome differentiation and treatment.
