Objective:To observe the efficacy of non-Ablative fractional laser Lux1540nm inpatients with superficial scars.Methods:72patients with superficial scars were treated by non-Ablative fractionallaser Lux1540nm, who were admitted in our department from Sptember2011toDecember2012and then fellowed up6-12months.First,these patients were classifiedaccording to Fitzpatrik table. And the appearance of scars was assessed. According tothe Fitzpatrik skin type and scar appearance, appropriate laser energy and pulse widthfor scar treatment were chosen. But for some hypersensitive patients, facula tests had tobe done in treatment zones. Effect of treatment and side-effect were evaluated bycomparing the difference between preoperative and postoperative digital photos andscar appearances every month. These patients were treated every four weeks for sixtimes.Results:72patients were involved. In these scars, the number of postoperativescars were25(34.72%),traumatic scars were30(41.67%),burn scars were5(6.95%),Acne scars were12(16.66%),Apophysis scars were23(31.94%),antrophic scars were30(41.67%),compound scars were19(26.39%).All of the patients were treated withdifferent times.69cases(87.5%) had significant improvement and9cases(12.5%)were ineffective. There were no exudation, incrustation, blister, infection, inflammation, and new scars after treatment. Temporary erythema faded awayin4-24hours. Temporary hyperpigmentation was found in2cases(2.78%) and fadedaway in3-6months.Conclusions:The treatment of non-ablative fractional laser Lux1540nm for superficial scar was effective and safe with a few complications, which did notinfluence patient’s life and work. It had great advantages compared to traditional laser. But the long-term effect needs further clinical observation.
