Objective Analysis of the reasons for the differences of surgicaltreatment of pelvic fracture. Methods One hundred and fortytwo patients with unstable pelvic ringfractures were treated from July2006to may2012,fractures types includedTile B and Tile C injuries. The general condition of patients, fracture type, patient injury, fixation methods, surgical procedures, postoperativecomplications,Postoperative functional were included in the study. Results In type TileB fractures, Fixed of anterior pelvic ring in80cases, Fixed anterior and posterior portions of the ring in4cases.We useexternal fixation in21cases,and plate fixation in59cases.the other4casesfixed with plate and screw. In type TileC fractures, all Patients fixed anteriorand posterior portions of the ring.35Patients was fixed Anterior andposterior pelvic ring with plate,13Patients used external fixation andscrew,9Patients use external fixation and plate, the other15Patients uesdplate and screw. In the Tile B fractures, external fixator. and internal fixationwere no significant differences in postoperative functional. But in the Tile C fractures, the postoperative function of treated with external fixator is worsethan other fixed. The surgery time, blood loss, and time stay in hospital ofexternal fixation and sacroiliac screw fixation are lower than internalfixation. The Patients have longer time stay in hospital,57Patients satymore than7days before Surgery, the reason include anemia,hypoproteine-mia, liver function abnormalities, pulmonary infection, and the underlyingdisease. The other15Patients saty in hosptial more than14days beforeSurgery, because they have associated injuries. Conclusion The fracture type, associated injuries, general conditionof patients (age, underlying disease, preoperative biochemical tests, etc.),preoperative hospitalization time will affect fixation in unstable pelvicfracture.
