Lung transplantation has become an effective treatment option forpatients with varied forms of end-stage pulmonary diseases. Infectionremains one of the most important causes of morbidity and limit long-termsurvival in lung-transplant recipients, affecting lung as the most frequentinfected organ site. This review focuses on an overview of pulmonaryinfections in lung-transplant recipients in order to have earlier recognitionand treatment for more favorable outcomes. |
