| Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a common and frequently-occurring diseaseamong older men. As the aging of population gets more and more serious, the incidence ofBPH increases year by year. Nowadays, surgery method and medical drug therapytowards BPH both have a lot of problems such as big damage degree, significant drug sideeffects and high cost. Therefore, developing efficient, low toxicity and cheap drug hasbecome an important research direction in this filed.This research aims at currently problems which occurs in curing BPH,mainly aroundtwo kinds of material, domestic Maca(Lepidium meyenii) and Hop to do the componentanalysis and efficacy research of relieving BPH. At the same time, the functional food interms of Maca and Hop compound was developed.1. Analysis detection methods of glucosinolate maca and sterol matter were constructed.The content of glucosinolate maca in different places was compared. Meanwhile, thecontent of glucosinolate and sterol in domestic maca and Peru maca were comparedrespectively. The results showed that the content of glucosinolate maca in different placeswas different, and compared with Peru maca, the content of glucosinolate maca indomestic maca is higher and sterol content is nearly the same.2. Efficacy research of relieving BPH by maca alcohol extract was done. Physical index,pathological observations and physiological parameters in serum of rat prostate tissuewere used. The results showed that maca alcohol water extract could relieve BPH, whichcould match the conclusion in Peru reports.3. Efficacy research of relieving BPH by Maca and Hop compound was done. Physicalindex, pathological observations and physiological parameters in serum of rat prostatetissue were used. The results showed that maca alcohol extract could relieve BPH, andMaca and Hop compound has better effect than maca alcohol extract.4. The functional food in terms of Maca and Hop compound was developed. Thefunctional food prescription was ascertained, and the quality test of finished product wastested. The results showed that the average weight of each tablet was0.38gram, color wasgood, hardness was moderate, which could meet the quality standard. |
