Objective To investigate the effect of platelet-derived growth factor receptor-likeprotein on the growth and migration of colon cancer cells. Methods The PDGFRLfull-length protein and its two domains were obtained by prokaryotic expression. SRB,flow cytometry and wound-healing assays were used to evaluate the effect of PDGFRLand its two domains on proliferation, apoptosis, migration as well as cell cycle of CT26.Results PDGFRL and its two domains had ability to suppress proliferation, and promoteapoptosis of CT26, as well as lead to cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase. In addition,PDGFRL inhibited migration of CT26, while two domains did not. ConclusionPDGFRL protein effectively kills colon cancer cells, this effect is most significant todomain II.
