Objective: Animal model studies have shown that NKT cells and NK cells mayparticipate in the process of cell damage in liver in many diseases. But their mechanismthat in the procedure of liver cell damage in chronic hepatitis b has not yet confirmed.Thepurpose of this experiment is mainly to explore that the relationship between24+V alphaNKT cells and degree of liver damage in liver tissue of chronic hepatitis b virus (HBV)patients. Methods: Detecting the NKT cells in liver tissueof20cases of chronic hepatitis b (CHB) patientswith mild and moderate and Normal control group (NC)each10cases by using doubleimmunohistochemistry (IHC). while detecting liver function, AFP, coagulation function, HBV-DNAto determine liver damage, and analyze the correlation between the indicators and NKT cells. Results: The results show that compared with the healthy group, the number of NKT cellsin the HBVinfection group (mild, moderate patients) is significantly different.liver damage ismoreserious while NKT cells have a more obvious decrease. the number of NKT cells in liver tissue and PTAexpression has a positive correlation, while Tbil level shows the negative correlation. It showsthat the NKT cell is closely related to the liver cell damage ofhepatitis b patients. the result shows thatthe content of NKT cells has no correlation with HBV-DNA, which concerns the activation of NKTcells themselves,or uninterrupted stimulation for a long time by protein antigen makes the NKT cellstolerance or defects. Conclusion: The activated24+V alpha NKT level in liver tissue of HBV infection patientsdropped significantly. The more serious of liver damage, the lower the NKT cells. It showed that NKTcells and is closely related to the liver cell damage of hepatitis b patients. Chronic HBVinfection may be related to the lower level of NKT cells.
