Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of percutaneous core-needle biopsy guided by C-arm imaging in spinal lesion.Methods79cases (44male and35female)of spinal lesion diagnosed by percutaneous core-needle biopsy guided by C-arm imaging were retrospectively reviewed between April2011and May2012.21cases of lesion were localized in thoracic vertebra,51cases of lesion were in lumbar vertebra and7cases of lesion were in sacral vertebra. The localization of lesions were thoracic vertebra in21cases, lumbar vertebra in51and sacral vertebra in7cases. The diagnostic accuracy of percutaneous core-needle biopsy guided by C-arm imaging were obtained by compared to the final diagnosis. Results Among the cases,73cases got definite pathological diagnosis,6cases did’t got pathological diagnosis. The positive rate of biopsy was92.40%(73/79).22cases got operations(including open biopsy), and the coincidence rate between core-needle biopsy and the final pathological diagnosis was90.91%(20/22). Cases were followed up by12.5months in average, and the accuracy rate of core-needle biopsy was97.47%(77/79). No special complications were found during6-19months of follow-up.Conclusion Percutaneous biopsy guided by C-arm imaging in spinal lesions is the most effective method to get definite diagnosis of the spinal lesions before operation. And it is a safe, simple, reliable, minimally invasive, accurate technique with little complication for the diagnosis of spinal lesion, having great guiding value in correct deciding treatment scheme of spinal lesion and deserving further clinical research and application.
