The Protection Of Draining Veins Within Or Around Parasinus And Parafalx Meningiomas And It’s Treatment Of Micro-neurosurgery

Objective To discuss the importance and protection method of draining veins within oraround parasinus and parafalx meningiomas in order to guid the microneurosurgery.Methods Retrospectively analyse the data of41patients that have parasinus and parafalxmeningiomas in Union Hospital, Wu Han, China.Results32patients underwent a Simpson I or II resection, and9patients underwent aSimpson III or IV resection in addition to Gama-knife therapy. Postoperative complicationswere observed in10cases, including hemorrhage in2cases, hypopsia in1case,monoplegia in1case and cerebellar ataxia in6cases. Follow-up data is about32cases. Nodeath case has been found and3patients relapsed.Conclusion1、It is very important that we protect draining veins within or around theparasinus and parafalx menigiomas during neurosurgery.2、 The dividing and evaluationof draining veins with MRV is helpful for neurosurgery.
