OBJECTIVE:To establish a new heterotopic tracheal transplantmodel of rat.METHODS:Weight matched inbred rats of different germ lineswere randomly divided into2groups(n=20pairs/group): A,Wistar(donor)'SD(recipient), B: SD(donor)'SD(recipient). Theheterotopic tracheal transplant model was established by implanting thetrachea into anterior cervical tissues and muscles for blood supply.Tracheal graft rejection was monitored by clinical airway assessment,H-E staining for histological examination and observing the epithelialoss, lymphocytic infiltration and luminal occlusion of allografthistological.RESULTS: All the rats in two groups were alive. All the transplantsin group A had a certain degree of rejection reactions, while the group Bhad no special changes. By H-E staining, at the7th,14th,28th days, inthe2groups, the numbers of lymphocyte were:﹙9.40±1.71﹚HPF,﹙28.80±1.54﹚HPF,(31.50±1.95)/HPF and<8HPF; the ratios of anuclear chondrocyte/osteocyte were〔(47.53%±1.38%) vs (47.93%±1.03%),(p>0.05),〔(81.83%±1.52%) vs(47.60%±1.04%),(p<0.05)〕 and〔(86.98%±1.71%) vs(47.14%±1.09%),(p<0.05)〕; ingroup A, epithelia loss were45%、100%、100%),while in the group B,epithelia loss were not obviously.
