Background:Hemorrhagic shock induce serious inflammatory reaction and inflammation related diseases, which lead to high mortality. Early diagnosis and treatment is the key point to improve prognosis and raise survival rate. IL-37is a newly found inflammation-related cytokine, which could inhibit innate inflammatory reaction and modulate immune response. To investigate the expression level of IL-37in hemorrhagic shock and its relationship with other inflammation-related cytokines, such as IL-6, TNF-a and TGF-β1will be helpful for studying pathophysiology of hemorrhagic shock and beneficial to treatment of the disease. Methods:Mice hemorrhagic shock model was established for studying. After resuscitation with Ringer’s solution, inflammatory cytokines IL-6and TNF-a and anti-inflammatory cytokines TGF-β1and IL-37were detected by ELISA.Results:The level of IL-37in the peripheral blood of mice with hemorrhagic shock decreased over time, which showed as70.869±11.093pg/ml(3h),45.992±7.068pg/ml(6h),24.027±9.120pg/ml(12h) and8.004±11.227pg/ml(24h). After resuscitation, the IL-37level increased to79.821±12.819pg/ml(3h),96.066±5.738pg/ml(6h),109.546±15.524pg/ml(12h) and126.343±22.931pg/ml(24h), which showed significant relationship with inflammation-related cytokines and resuscitation condition. Conclusions:The model was stable which was suitable for this study. The variation of IL-37in serum of hemorrhagic shock mice and after resuscitation therapy indicated that IL-37was an anti-inflammatory cytokine, and it could reflect severity and therapeutic effect of hemorrhagic shock.
