The Effects Of Mobile Intensive Care Units For Intra-hospital Transport Of Critically Ill Patients

Objective:To research the mobile intensive care unit (MICU) mode to improve the safety and feasibility of the intra-hospital transport of critically ill patients, and to ensure the safety of the critically ill patients.Methods:In the study, with the analysis of the adverse events in critically ill patients during transport, a mobile intensive care unit mode was set up for transport, equipped with a professional transport team, monitoring and life support instruments, transport process, emergency project, and strict quality control system.Results:Compared with the year2011, the MICU mode of transport of critically ill patients the incidence of adverse events was significantly decreased. The incidence of adverse events associated with the disease is15.2%(X2=4.080, P<0.05), with the transferring persons is4.7%(X2=4.047, P<0.05), with the equipment is2.6%(X2=3.856, P<0.05).Conclusion:The MICU transport mode continuation of the environment and the management of critical illness in ICU, can reduce the incidence of adverse consequences and improve the safety of transport.
