Methods: A retrospective analysis of2011March to2012March in our hospital accepted SPR operation and underwent carotid arterysympathetic nerve net stripping operation, and postoperative follow-up of more than6months in73cases of mixed type of cerebral palsy. Observation of patients after6monthsof muscle tension, motor function and accompanied symptoms to improve the situation. Results: In the group of patients with postoperative muscle tension and motor function at6months were significantly improved, the difference was statistically significant.Symptoms were markedly relieved: in the group of patients with salivation in47cases,45cases with different degree reduce; strabismus in29cases,24cases improved; languagedysfunction in23cases in21cases of pronunciation improvement; spastic symptomsalong with athetoid18patients spasticity decreased, but2patients with athetoid symptomsthan before obviously;5cases history of epilepsy in3cases during the follow-up attack;14cases of dysphagia in patients with13cases of different degrees of ease. Conclusion:Selective posterior rhizotomy (SPR) combined with carotid artery sympathetic nerve netstripping in releasing spasticity and improve motor function effect, and can significantlyimprove the other accompanied symptoms of mixed cerebral palsy, is an ideal surgicaltreatment of cerebral palsy.
