Objective Decision-making is an important social life of the cognitive function, it alsois a person in the life must have ability, and decision-making ability damage will causea lot of unnecessary trouble. At present about epilepsy patients decision-makingfunction of very little, The aim of this paper is to investigate the ability ofdecision-making under ambiguity condition in patients with epilepsy.and tofurther explore the neural relationship between frontal and temporal lobe and amygdala, the hippocampus and the edge system and the ability of decision-making.Method Twenty-five EP patients in the first affiliated hospital of Anhui MedicalUniversity diagnosed with epilepsy patients during june2011to March2012and25healthy controls (HC) were investigated by Iowa Gambling Task (IGT) withambiguous probability. The statistical treatment using analysis of variance (ANOVA),independent sample t test and so on, take α=0.05for inspection differences significantlevelResult compared to HC,EP subjects were impaired in decision making underambiguity. The EP patients scored lower in IGT than healthy controls (EP:-4.56±10.255;HC:4.32±24.140;t=-2.23P=0.029). A comparison between the scores of thesubjects on the5blocks suggests:HC subjects socred higher on block3(HC:2.4±7.07;EP:-1.44±3.98) and block5(HC:4±7.46;EP:0±4.51)than the scores of EPsubjects (block3,F=3.950, P=0.022,block5, F=6.416,P=0.027). Conclusion Present study has shown that EP patients have significant impairment indecision-making under ambiguity.
