Objective:Discuss changes in cognitive dysfunction in patients with thalamus infarctionMethods:In our hospital in March2012to March2012neurology hospital wards by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients diagnosed with unilateral or bilateral thalamus infarction patients47cases for groups. Randomly selected47cases without any central nervous system diseases and other diseases of the body normal people and patients’ families and escort personnel for the control group, all the patients in the stable condition within a week. done properly lovins’s occupational therapy cognitive assessment (LOTCA) complete set of test evaluation at the same time, combining with the history and clinical examination results to select acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease risk factors:age. smoking, drinking, diabetes, high blood pressure, internal carotid artery stenosis, family history of hypercholesterolemia, a total of7as an indicator to be analysed. Application of SPSS statistical software for statistical analysis.Results:42cases of thalamic infarction patients compared with the cognitive function in42cases of the control group:the patients with thalamic infarction LOTCA total score of all items are lower than the control group, the case group and control group on the all evaluation indexes scores have significant differences. The left thalamus infarction group compared to the right group of the thalamus infarction scores have significant differences. Through Logistic regression method screening:change of early cognitive function in patients with thalamus infarction is associated with smoking, diabetes, hypertension, and infarction location (on the left side, right side, double side). Conclusion:1. The early cognitive dysfunction in patients with thalamus infarction, orientation, visual perception, spatial perception, movement, thought extensive damage of cognitive function operation.2. Change of early cognitive function in patients with thalamus infarction is associated with smoking, diabetes, hypertension, and infarction location (on the left side, right side, double side).3. Smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure as a risk factor for cognitive dysfunction in patients with thalamus infarction, infarct location for cognitive dysfunction in patients with thalamus infarction related factors.
