Objective Intracranial tumors are a common disease of the nervous system. The incidence rate is rising in recent years. Generally, postcontrast enhancement Tl-weighted imaging is one of the most important sequences in evaluating brain tumors. However, extravasation of the contrast agent can often lead to diffuse enhancement of a tumor, thereby resulting in imprecise visualization of its inner structure and vascular components. Recently, the development of MR imaging scanner and parallel imaging techniques made it possible. Therefore, this novel technique is now suitable for the examination of patients with various brain tumor. Images of37cases of patients with a total of55lesions included TjWI, T2WI, CE-T1WI, SWI and CE-SWI sequences were analyzed and made comparative study. To evaluate the value of susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) in the intracrainal tumor.Methods37cases of intracranial tumors, surgical pathology confirmed32cases, clinical confirmed in5cases. All case were examined with MRI conventional sequences T1WI、T2WI and SWI,27cases of them received both contrast enhanced T1WI and SWI (CE-T1WI and CE-SWI).Results37cases of patients with a total of55lesions,8cases of metastasis (25lesions) and meningioma in1case (2lesions) for multiple lesions. Image performance:23neoplasms with tumor bleeding lesions, on SWI and CE-SWI display hemorrhage accounted for21, sensitivity91.3%; On T1WI and CE-T1WI display hemorrhage accounted for8, sensitivity34.8%.(X2=7.81, P<0.01). And CE-SWI display of tiny vein structure more, to bleeding stove and small vein show more clear. On SWI,26lesions showed low signal tumor venous drainage. Conclusion SWI and CE-SWI sequence can clearly show intra-tumoral hemorrhage and peritumoral venous vasculature, and have higher clinical value in diagnosis of intracranial tumor。...
