Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of of diagnosis for prostate cancer(PCa) bycombined use of transrectal ultrasonography(TRUS) and magnetic resonancespectroscopy(MRS). Methods:72patients were performed with the scanning of TRUSand MRS. Sonography features such as prostate’s shape, diolame, presence or absence ofnodules, prostate nodules’ number, site, shape, borderline, internal echo were detected onTRUS and MRS analysis metabolites, spectrograms and the ratio of (Cho+Cr)/Cit. Thesentivity and specificity were calculated respectively. Comparative analysis wasperformed between TRUS,MRS and combination of two examination. Result:(1) TRUSimage features such as nodules’site、shape、borderline、internal echo aspects between thebenign and malignant prostate nodules were different;(2) Based on the analysis of TRUSof prostate cancer and pathological findings, the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity were80.56%,55.56%;The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of MRS were75%,69.44%;The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of TRUS and MRS were97.22%,91.67%.Conclusion: Combining TRUS and MRS is useful method in diagnotising protate cancerand is superior to use single a method.
