Objective:To invesitigate the clinic efficace and safety of four-fold divisionplasmakinetic enucleation of prostate(PKEP) under low-pressure perfusion in thetreatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH) patients with the prostate weighing≥60g.Methods:Collected47cases of BPH patients of Sixth Affiliated Hospital ofXinjiang Medical University and Ta cheng People’s Hospital between Januray2011andSeptember2012,divided them into FPKEP group25cases and PKEP group22casesaccording to the surgical approach. Then we compared the operation time, hospitalizationtime, resection proportion, intraoperative bleeding,complications,short-term effectivenessbetween the two groups. Results:Both the procedures remarkably improved theinternational prostatic symptom score(IPSS),quality of life(QOL),residual urine volume(RUV) and Qmax of the patients (P<0.05),but with no significant differences between thetwo groups (P>0.05).The mean operation time, hospitalization time, intraoperative bleedingpostoperative bladder irrigation time and resection proportion were significantly less in theFPKEP than in the PKEP group(P<0.05).The resection efficiency was more in the FPKEPthan in the PKEP group(P<0.05).The complications was not significantly differentbetween the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Four-fold division PKEP under low-pressureperfusion is safe and feasible, removal more than60%of the prostate tissue is clinicallyefficient for the treatment of BPH patients with the prostate weighing≥60g.
