Retrospective Study Of The Basis Of The Incidence And Clinical Treatment Of Thoracic Spinal Stenosis

[Objection]:Investigate the clinical diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis factors ofThoracic spinal stenosis[Methods]:Retrospectively analyze the23cases due to variousreasons in our department since January2002to December2012, All patients acceptedAnteroposterior and lateral X-ray, multislice CT and MRI check, And all patients werediagnosed the Thoracic spinal stenosis. Different surgical treatment according to thepatient’s specific conditions,19patients were followed up for1-10years, with an averagefollow-up time of48.5months after operation. The preoperative and postoperativefollow-up datas were Sorted out, the clinical results using modified Macnab standard andmodified JoA (Japanese Bone and Joint Association Japanese OrthopaedicAssociation).[Results]: according to modified JOA score; The average preoperative scorewas10.158±0.8669point, The verage of last follow-up score was8.763±0.903point,The difference was statistically significant between preoperative and last follow-up (pairedt test, P <0.05), which was excellent in9cases, good in5cases, improve in3cases, andpoor in2cases, excellent rate was73.7%(14/19), the total effective rate was89.5%(17/19).[Conclusion]:The clinical manifestations of Thoracic spinal stenosis Lack ofspecificity,So diagnosis must be combined with imaging findings. Surgery is the mosteffective method to Thoracic spinal stenosis, The key of treatment lies in the effectivedecompression of narrow segment. Due to the relationship of the spinal cord and pressurewas different, strictly evaluate preoperative, Type thoracic spinal stenosis reasonably andselect the appropriate surgical approach in order to achieve the desired results.
