Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To know current situation of the low birth weight children and the macrosomia inhunan province, explore the related factors of the pregnancy and pregnancy care to birthweight, and to further provide favorable data support and scientific basis for improving thequality of pregnancy and pregnancy care service, and reducing the abnormal birth weightin our province.Method:This study used the inventory survey method, randomly selected the maternalpreconception deliveried at the five level2grade A and another five level3grade Ahospitals of five cities in hunan province during July1,2012to December31,2012as theresearch object. To investigated the general situation of maternal preconception,pregnancyand pregnancy care, maternal pregnancy complications, neonatal birth weight. A total of1100questionnaires, recycling effective questionnaire1059, questionnaire effective ratewas96.27%. Data obtained with Epidata3.1establish database, using spss18.0statisticalsoftware for statistical analysis.Generally adopted the descriptive statistical analysis, andlow birth weight factors using chi-square, multi-factors Logistic stepwise regressionanalysis, using a=0.05as significance standard of the test.Result:1. The incidence of low birth weight newborn was7.5%, the incidence of macrosomiawas13.2%in this survey.2. The single factor analysis showed that pregnancy health care consulting, motherpregnancy checks, premarital examination, prepregnancy BMI, gestational age, pregnancywith poor nutrition,the number of prenatal pregnancy, pregnancy history of drinking andsmoking, exposure to toxic and harmful substances, closely contact with animals, reproductive history, history of illness and the occupation, education degree and the familyincome level of couple was statistically significant (p <0.05); Newborn sex, pregnancywith hypertension syndrome, pregnancy with diabetes, pregnancy health care consulting,pregnancy inspection, whether planed a pregnancy, prepregnancy BMI, pregnancy historyof drinking and smoking, exposure to toxic and harmful substances, closely contact withanimals, accept pregnancy nutrition guidance, supplement calcium and multivitamin,reproductive history, gestational age, the age, education level and occupation of the couplewas statistically significant (p <0.05).3. The multi-factor Logistic regression analysis showed that mother pregnancy withmalnutrition, closely contact with animals and smoking was a risk factor of low birthweight (OR=7.243,8.837,2.486), and normal prepregnancy body mass index, pregnancyhealth care consulting, gestational age and the number of prenatal pregnancy was theprotective factor of low birth weight (OR=0.262,0.362,0.014,0.362); Elderly parturientwomen, pregnancy with diabetes was a risk factor of the macrosomia (OR=3.645,8.505),while the more frequently prenatal pregnancy, reasonable supplement of calciumsupplements and multivitamin,accept nutritional guidance during pregnancy was theprotective factor of macrosomia (OR=0.523,0.107,0.542).Conclusion:1. The incidence of low birth weight and macrosomia in hunan province is7.5%and13.2%.2. The main influence factors of low birth weight are pregnancy health care consulting,closely contact with animals, exposure to toxic and harmful substances, smoking, drinking,pregnancy with malnutrition, family income levels, the education degree and occupation ofthe couple.3. The main influence factors of macrosomia include mother’s age, reproductivehistory, pregnancy with diabetes, pregnancy with hypertension disease, pregnancy health care consulting, pregnancy examination, pregnancy history of drinking and smoking.
