Human brain is a complex and mysterious system made up of tens of billions ofnerve cells. An effective way of revealing its secrets is via researches on brain networkwhich consists of multiple mutually connected and coordinated brain regions. Thediscovery that brain networks of psychologically disturbed patients are significantlydifferent from those of normal people strongly indicates the value of brain networkstudy. However current software for brain network computing has the following defects.First of all, it lacks user-unfriendly graphic user interface. Then, it has awfulvisualization of brain network. Last, its computation is time consuming. In this thesis,three pieces of software are presented to solve the above problems.On personal computer, a piece of software based on MATLAB is developed forbrain network computing. The software provides a lot of function library to computebrain network properties, which can easily calculate different brain networks attribute. Itreduces computation time effectively by choosing the optimal algorithm according tothe pattern of the brain network. Using a simplified design of graphic user interface, thesoftware is easy to manipulate.With the aid of the second piece of software based on VTK, the three dimensionalvisualization of brain network could be presented fast and vividly. It can display athree-dimensional brain network topology, so the brain networks will be emergeintuitive, and easy to observe. It also provides the function of modify networkfeatures, such as modify brain network nodes’ color, nodes’ size and so on.The third software based on WEB not only has simplified GUI and3Dvisualization function, but also use parallel computing and distributed computing tominimize computing time. Its biggest feature is the cross-platform, it can be on differentmachines, systems. It can be displayed on the client’s computer networkthree-dimensional topology, you can calculate the value of some properties of brainnetworks.
