Claudin-3、4Expression In Lung Adenocarcinoma And Prognosis Analysis

ObjectiveTo investigation the expression of Claudin-3,4in patients with lung adenocarcinoma and prognosis of patients by tissue microarray technology, in order to provide a new target for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma.Methods1. Collection the paraffin-embedded specimens of the resected lung adenocarcinoma from January2004to January2008, a total of276cases, including10cases of adjacent tissues. All cases were organized, summarized, and followed-up.2.According to the new classification criteria to review pathology by the experienced pathologist,and build tissue microarray.3.To study Claudin-3,4expression in lung adenocarcinoma and prognosis of patients by the tissue microarray and immunohistochemical methods.Results1.The Claudin-3,4expression was significantly higher than the adjacent tissues in adenocarcinoma. The positive rate were positively correlated with lymph node metastasis and recurrence and metastasis.2.The overall survival time of patients withCclaudin3,4high expression was shorter than others,but they are not independent prognostic factors. The patients’disease-free survival time with high expression was worse than others in Ⅰ-Ⅲa by complete surgical resection patients. The claudin-3expression is a independent prognostic factor for disease-free survival.3.The positive rate of Claudin-3expression is gradually increased from adenocarcinoma in situ, microinvasive adenocarcinoma to invasive adenocarcinoma. Lung adenocarcinoma new classification is one of the factors to affect the patients’ prognosis of survival time.Conclusionl.The Claudin-3,4expression in the adjacent tissues was significantly lower than in adenocarcinoma, Their upregulation may be one of the factors of lung adenocarcinoma occur.2.The high expression of claudin-3,4is unfavorable factors to the overall survival and disease-free survival time.Its high expression associated with the recurrence and metastasis. Upregulation of Claudin-3,4may promote lymph node metastasis and recurrence and metastasis in adenocarcinoma. 3.The positive rate of Claudin-3expression is gradually increased from adenocarcinoma in situ, micro-invasive adenocarcinoma to invasive adenocarcinoma, the difference was statistically significant.Its upregulation may be the one of the factors of advancing of lung adenocarcinoma.4.The new classification of adenocarcinoma is a factors to impact overall survival time,it can judge prognostic and guide the treatment of patients.5.Claudin-3,4may become a new target for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma.
