Objective This research investigated the nosocomial infection’s situation of general hospital in Baoding district, aimed at understanding the characteristics and development trends and analyzing problems for hospital management, to further improve the prevention of hospital infection and provide the essential information for management of the administration department, thereby reducing the occurrence of hospital infection, avoiding the prevalence of nosocomial infections, further improving the quality of medical treatment and ensure medical safety.Methods Mutiple methods include literature research, experts consultation, the explanatory descriptive research and the statistical analysis:(1)literature research: collected and referred literature to understand the characteristics and development trends of hospital infection;(2)experts consultation:consulted experts in the fields of health management, health economics or macro-economic, sociology and public health, put forward some suggestions about prevention and control of hospital infection.(3)the explanatory descriptive research:investigated the status of a hospital infection and analyzed the survey data on the infection status of a hospital infection.Results1Findings of the hospital infection status1.1From2007to2010there were42536cases collected.587cases had fall in hospital infection. The infection rate was1.38%. The annual incidence of hospital infection were2.09%、1.36%.1.28%、1.31%and1.00%. They were statistical significance difference among the different groups;1.2The rate of missing report of the year2010was the highest. The results shown there were statistical significant among the5years;1.3The constituent ratio of lower respiratory tract was the highest(52.13%), followed by upper respiratory tract and urinary system. The constituent ratio of surgical incision was the lowest(3.14%). They were statistical significance difference among the different tracts;1.4The incidence of nosocomial infection in tumor division was the highest.1.5The infection rate of the deuto-quarter was the lowest(1.19%), and the quartus quarter was the highest(1.46%);1.6The utilization rate of antibiotics decreased year by year.2Findings of the prevention and control measures study2.1Hospital management organization system needed to be optimized;2.2Hospital leadership attention degree on hospital infection control needed to be improved;2.3Clinical departments recognition on the hospital infection control related knowledge were still inadequate;2.4Hospital infection monitoring system needed to be completed;2.5Hospital infection control professionals team needed to be strengthened.Conclusions The establishment of an effective control mode is an important guarantee for the prevention and control of hospital infections.The statistical of a rapid and accurate monitoring system is an effective method to control hospital infection. The development of a rational structure team and reinforcement of hospital infection training are cores of hospital infection administration. The setting up a management system that central sterile supply can be traced back is an effective measure to improve the quality of hospital infection management continuously.
