The Impact Of Eyebrow Shap And Crow’s Feet By Botulinum Toxin A Injection

Objective: Study on the impact of eyebrow shap and crow’s feet by botulinumtoxin A injection.Methods: Collection of our department in March2010to October2011forPatients for the treatment of the crow’s feet (treatment time greater than6months) atotal of52cases,28cases were randomly enrolled in this study. The crow’s feet wastreated with symmetry and quantitative injection of botulinum toxin A. The effect oftreating crow’s feet was observed, take a photograph, interception of the upper surfacewith the same ratio of skin images by photoshop cs5, the VISIOSCANvc98observe thetexture of outer canthus region, recorded the value of SEsm and SEw, contrasted theeffect of wrinkle prior-treatment and post-treatment.The distance extending from theinner canthus, pupilpoint, lateral canthus to the superior margin of brow were measuredat prior-treatment and post-treatment.Results: The28cases were enrolled. the skin texture of crow’s feet before thetreatment, SEw（40.95±1.26）, SEsm（16.9±0.81）, the skin texture of lateral canthusofter the treatment two weeks, SEw（37.94±0.65）, SEsm（19.6±0.46）,(p<0.01). Thatdisparation of two groups shows difference in the subgroup of prior-treatment andpost-treatment. The effective rate of treating wrinkles was100%. Three cases ofeyebrow shape asymmetry to be corrected by adjusting the injection therapy. Thedistance extending from medial canthus,midpupil,lateral canthus to the superior marginof brow were (3.15±0.24）cm（,2.33±0.21）cm（,2.71±0.43）cm, at prior-treatment, and（3.16±0.24）cm（,2.33±0.23）cm（,3.21±0.58）cm (p<0.05) at two weeks post-treatmentrespectively, there is no difference between of prior-treatment and post-treatment in thedistance extending from inner canthus and pupilpoint to the superior margin of brow, itthe difference of lateral canthus to the superior margin of brow the was remarkable atreperfusion. The lateral region of Eyebrow increase (0.5±0.15) cm, derived from the mean change.The covariance test, the statistic p>0.05,between the middle-agedtreatment group and the elderly treatment group before and after treatment thedifference,there was no difference between the two group to improve the crow’s feetregion, in addition to the lateral eye brow,the same enhancement effect between the twogroup.Conclusions：Study on the impact of eyebrow shap and crow’s feet by botulinumtoxin A injection.the results show that the good effect, significant effect on increasingthe shape of the eyebrow lateral segment by botulinum toxin type A to remove crow’sfeet,therefore, form of poor eyebrow lateral segmen shap patients,in addition to browlift surgery to correct, we can use the botulinum toxin type A injections.
