Objective: This article analyzed the clinical data of6cases of ovarian yolk sactumor and reviewed the relevant literature, to improve the clinician’s cognition aboutthe rare disease--ovarian yolk sac tumor.Methods:6cases of ovarian yolk sac tumor who were treated in the departmentof Gynecology of First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University betweenJanuary of2001to December of2011were collected, all patients’ clinical data wereretrospectively analyed and summarized.Results:1.6patients in the22-42years age distribution, the median was25yearsold.2. All of the patients with abdominal pain symptoms,50%of patients withabdominal distension, and66.7%of patients at the early stage;5patients with high levelof serum alpha-feto-protein before operation, ranged from533to18485ng/ml, theaverage is7176.7ng/ml,moreover,1patient with normal level of serumalfha-feto-protein.3. All patients underwent surgical treatment,4patients who wantedto gravidity with preservation of fertility after operation;2patients in stage-III wereperformed cytoreductive surgery;4patients were performed postoperative adjuvantchemotherapy.4.3patients’ life time after operation were:>72months,>20months,>9months.Conclusion:1. OYST is a rare malignant ovarian tumor which is come from germ cell, oftenoccurs in young women.2. The level of serum alpha-feto-protein is very important to the OYST, for it candiagnose the OYST definitely, but not all of patients have high level of serumalpha-feto-protein, few have normal serum alpha-feto-protein.3. OYST is very sensitive to chemotherapy, effective adjuvant chemotherapyshould be performed after operation, such as BEP(bleomycin, Etoposide, cisplatin)...
