Preliminary Approach To The Relationship Between Reticulated Platelet And Atrial Fibrillation

Objective: To investigate the relationship between reticulated platelet count andatrial fibrillation.Methods: We choose to162patients who admitted to the the first hospitalaffiliated to Dalian medical university between July2011to December2011anddivided them into two groups: atrial fibrillation group(paroxysmal atrial fibrillation47or persistent atrial fibrillation38).and control group to77was the patients of non-atrialfibrillation who hospitalized at the same time.All patients were asked detailed history,taken medical,ECG, and routine examination after admission.2ml fasting venous bloodwere collected in the morning of the second day after admission. Platelet were markedwith CD61-PE monoclonal antibody, dye labeled with thiazole orange (TO), reticulatedplatelet were detected by platelet rich plasma (PRP) method. Observation index:①platelet;②reticulated platelets;③PT;④INR;⑤TG;⑥LDL-CH;⑦DrugApplication;⑧General clinical data.To compare the platelet and Immature plateletfraction and the relationship and effective factors the atrial fibrillation and thetype of atrial fibrillationResults:All patients reticulated platelet ratio of average water were within normallimits(normal value1.1-6.1). the average level of immature platelet fraction of atrialfibrillation group was higher than that control group2.14±0.80(p <0.05); Inparoxysmal atrial fibrillation group, the mean immature platelet fraction level was2.45±1.45,which showed no significant different compared with persistent AF group2.95±1.71; There was no significant difference in control group and AF group consideringgender, age, etiology(such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, hyperthyroidism,hypothyroidism);The immature platelet fraction of patients treated with aspirin,clopidogrel, low molecular weight heparin, warfarin, statins group or no drug was not significant difference(p>0.05).Conclusion:(1). Immature platelet fraction are significantly increased in patients with atrialfibrillation.(2). Immature platelet fraction are independent of the type of atrial fibrillation.
