Backgroud: Due to Cryptococcus neoformans infection occur in the cellimmunocompromised patients also showed a clear upward trend year by year, with theincrease in organ transplants, bone marrow transplants, such as the development of newtechnologies as well as AIDS patients, the incidence of cryptococcal infection. FindingsCryptococcus neoformans is an important pathogen Cryptococcus are environmentalsaprophytes isolated from soil and pigeon droppings, and is considered to be the mainsource of infection for humans and animals, the main cause of meningitis and pneumonia.Cryptococcosis, estimated to be significant mortality, but only scarce epidemiological dataexist. Most of the domestic research focused on clinical isolates, this study intends toconduct a preliminary analysis of genotypes and molecular characteristics ofenvironmental strains of Cryptococcus neoformans mainland China, in order to furtherunderstand the intrinsic relationship between environmental strains and clinical isolates. We attempted separation cryptococcus environment pigeon droppings from the differentregions of the Chinese mainland, an overview of the biological characteristics fromcryptococcal disease pathogen characteristics, virulence, genotype, and Cryptococcusneoformans disease infection and popular the basic aspects, pathogenesis, clinicalmanifestations, prevention research progress are reviewed. Strive to establish a monitoringprogram to prevent infection..Objective: The purpose of this study is to understand the of mainland ChinaCryptococcus neoformans environment strains the distribution of its phenotypic andgenotypic characteristics. Methods: For the above purpose, CACA medium1372were cultivated the pigeondroppings specimens from mainland China in most parts of East, West, South, North, inplace of the private and public pigeon80Cryptococcus neoformans were isolated anditsphenotypic and genotypic characteristics were analyzed. Results: Separation of the positive rate of about5.5%,37℃all strains grew well, complete capsular urease test was positive, ITS sequence analysis confirmed that they allbelong to serotype A. M13-PCR showed that their genotype for China and Southeast Asiathe characteristic VNIc type, display a high degree of consistency with the clinical strains. Conclusion: Cryptococcal clinical isolates and environmental strains display a highdegree of homology from mainland China, suggesting that blocking contact with theappropriate environment susceptible populations, can be effective in preventing infectionof Cryptococcus neoformans. The survey results show that the separation rate derived from the set ofpigeon pigeon droppings in the public square. The possible reason is that, using the basicset of pigeons around the time of acquisition of pigeon droppings from household privatefanciers, poorly ventilated, and the accumulation of pigeon droppings on the ground and cage Dovecote thicker, these conditions may Cryptococcus neoformans in pigeon providemore suitable conditions for the growth and reproduction of the dung. In addition, theseparation rate is also associated with the region, the three regions in accordance with thedivision of the north latitude20~0N~50~0N, flock of samples isolated from the maximumrate of20~0N~30~0N (G3,15.25%), followed by40~0N to50~0N (G1,5.45%),30~0N~40N0N(G2,5.1%) the lowest. The possible exception related to rearing conditions, the activityhabits of pigeons, sports migration, but also closely related to climatic conditions. Promptcorresponding natural environment (temperate) is more suitable for the survival of thefungus. These reasons, the virulence and environmental pH values worthy of further study.
