Objective:To know about noise exposure status and its effect on hearing loss of workers in a coal preparation plant, and investigating the related factors that affect hearing loss of workers, and providing theoretic guidance for the prevention of occupational noise deafness. Methods:In this paper, the cross-sectional study which include Workplaces noise field test, questionnaire survey and occupational health examination was used to investigate the amount of noise exposure, the amount of noise exposure, noise related knowledge, precautions, hearing loss of coal preparation plant workers. The effect factors of knowledge status about noise-related knowledge of workers were treated with multiple linear regression analysis method and the effect factors of the frequency of the use of protective equipment were treated with path analysis.Results:(1) Noise strength at workplace was70.0dB (A)-99.3dB (A), The daily noise exposure level (LEx,8h) is77.8dB (A)-93.9dB (A), of which38.8%above85dB (A). Cumulative Noise Exposure (CNE) was79.8dB(A)-108.4dB(A), of which19.8%above100dB (A).(2) Knowledge status about noise-related knowledge of workers influenced by the noise related knowledge training, standard of culture. There was significantly correlationship between the noise related knowledge training and knowledge status about noise-related knowledge(r=0.409,p<0.05), standard of culture and knowledge status about noise-related knowledge(r=0.471,p<0.05).(3) The protective equipments of workers used every time are the reason for29.3%, and the frequency of the use of protective equipment affected by knowledge status about noise-related knowledge(β=0.409, p<0.05), the noise related knowledge training (β=0.168,p<0.05), standard of culture of workers(β=0.110,p<0.05).(4)Hearing lose of workers influenced by knowledge status about noise-related knowledge, the frequency of the use of protective equipment, CNE. There was significantly correlationship between hearing lose and knowledge status about noise-related knowledge(r=-0.262,p<0.05), hearing lose and the use of protective equipment(r=-0.231,p<0.05), hearing lose and CNE (r=0.215,p<0.05).Conclusion:Noise pollution is very serious in Coal Preparation Plant, knowledge status and the frequency of the use of protective equipment is lower. There was correlationship between knowledge status and level of education, training situations. There was correlationship between the frequency of the use of protective equipment and level of education, training situations, knowledge status. There was correlationship between degree of hearing loss of workers and knowledge status, the use of protective equipment, cumulative noise exposure.
