ObjectiveThis study aimed to understand the burden and depression on caregivers of common brain tumor patients (Pituitary tumor、Meningioma、Glioma) in hospital, then analysis the related factors from the burden and depression of the main caregivers. For clinical nurses to take effective measures to reduce the burden of caregivers targeted to provide effective basis, then for patients with positive effect to promote the recovery of disease. And to further study the burden on caregivers of brain tumor patients in hospital to lay the foundation.MethodsThis research adopted descriptive research methods. I collected patients of neurosurgery in the first hospital of shanxi medical university、the second hospital of shanxi medical university and shanxi large hospital in May2012to November2012, who included in the standard of160brain tumors patients who hospitalized and their160primary caregivers. Used the general information of the self-designed questionnaire to survey the general information of primary caregivers of patients with brain tumors; Used the caregiver burden scale (CBI) to investigate the burden of caregivers; Used the self rating depression scale (SDS) to investigate the main caregivers had depression and the degree of depression. To statistical analysis the obtained data using SPSS13.0software. Used t test、single factor variance analysis for the related factors of caregiver burden and depression; Used multiple liner regression analysis to adopt the important factors of main caregiver burden and the depression of main caregivers; Using Pearson correlation analysis the correlationg of main caregiver burden and depression.Ressults(1) A total of160patients with brain tumor,100were men. and60were women; The patients with pituitary tumor had67,66were the patientd with meningioma and the patients with glioma were27; The average age was47.7. A total of160primary caregivers with brain tumor,76were men. and84were women, the average age were39.0.(2) The majority of the main caregivers of hospitalized patients with brain tumors had burden. The average score was30.3, The time dependence burden was heavier than the body burden, the limited development burden, the social burden and the emotional burden.(3) A total of160primary caregivers of hospitalized patients with brain tumor, there were115(71.88%) had different degrees of depression.13were the major depression, accounting for8.13%of the total.(4) The following six important factors for caregivers burden:the age of caregivers, caregivers family income, the care from others, the average daily time of the caregivers, method of payment, the depression of the caregivers.(5) The following three important factors for caregivers depression:the gender of caregivers, the profession of caregivers, the care from others.(6) Three common hospitalized patients with brain tumor burden of main caregiver difference is not significant. Conclusion(1) The majority of the main caregivers of hospitalized patients with brain tumors had burden. The time dependence burden was heavier than the body burden, the limited development burden, the social burden and the emotional burden.(2) The following six important factors for caregivers burden:the age of caregivers, caregivers family income, the care from others, the average daily time of the caregivers, method of payment, the depression of the caregivers.(3) The following three important factors for caregivers depression:the gender of caregivers, the profession of caregivers, the care from others.
