Clinical Observation Of Effect On Tongfeipingxiao Decoction Treating Bronchial Asthma With Acute Phase Dialectical Heat Type

Objective To observe the clinical curative effect ofTongFeiPingXiao decoction in the treatment of mild and moderatebronchial asthma.Method The60patients with mild and moderate bronchial asthmawere randomly divided into two groups:treatment group withTongFeiPingXiao Decoction,30cases;control group with SeretideDiskus and Doxofylline Tablets,30cases.Every patient in controlgroup suck Seretide Diskus one at a time,twice a day;while had oneDoxofylline Tablet three hours after a meal, twice a day. Take fivetraditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes as observation indexes.The overall effct, the FEV1%and the assessment of scores for TCMsyndromes were conducted before and after28days treatment. TheACT scores were recorded28days after the end of the study.Result The total effective rate of the treatment group is83%,while the control group is90%. The treatment efficacy of the two groups has no significant difference (P>0.05). Compared to before treatment, scores for TCM syndromes have significant decrease after treatment,it has significant difference (P<0.05).TheFEV1%of the two groups have increased significantly after treatment than before, it has significant difference (P<0.05).Compa rison between the two groups, the FEV1%and ACT scores have nosignificant difference after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion Statistical analysis was conducted after28daysclinical treatment and observation.As a result, TongFeiPingXiaodecoction could have significant improvements in TCM syndromesincluding wheezing, cough, cough up phlegm, choking sensation Inchest, and wheezing sound.It also could improve the FEV1%and ACTscores. As mentioned above,the therapeutic effect of the treatmentgroup has no significant difference as compared with the controlgroup. Consequently,TongFeiPingXiao decoction has obviousclinical efficacy.
