| Background: Epilepsy is one of the most frequent neurologic disorders.The12-monthprevalence rate of epilepsy in our country is about28.8/100,000. Using the normalantiepileptic drugs after treatment, about70%of the epileptic seizures can control, but thereare still30%of the patients to all sorts of AEDs are not sensitive, become resistant epilepsy.Researching the mechanisms of drug resistance is currently a hot and difficult concern ofcurrent epilepsy research. Recent studies shows that the expression of MRP1gene may behave some relevance with epilepsy resistance. The productive of MRP1gene called MRP1protein, belongs to the pharmacoresistant transporters. Now we are clear that, it’s over-expression in the resistance epilepsy epileptic focus and participate in the mechanism of drugresistance. However whether the MRP1gene the in peripheral blood mononuclear cells alsohas high expression, is not yet known. So our topic is studied on this field. Objective: To research the expression of MRP1gene in the peripheral blood of thepatients with epilepsy and the correlation with drug-resistance epilepsy.Materials and methods:90cases of patients with epilepsy were selected, including50cases of AEDs sensitive patients and40cases of AEDs resistance patients. The expression ofMRP1gene in the peripheral blood cells was detected by Real-time fluorescent quantitationPCR.Results: The expressions of the MRP1gene in the two groups are all positive. Theresults of qPCR: the relative expression of the MRP1mRNA in the peripheral bloodmononuclear cells of resistance epilepsy patients was9.52±1.38,there existed significantdifferences (P<0.05) Conclusion:1.The MRP1gene in peripheral blood of resistance epilepsy patients washighly expressed and it may be involved in the mechanisms of drug-resistance epilepsy;2.The MRP1gene can be used an index to evaluate the drug-resistance epilepsy. |
