Objectives: Analysis the correlation between age and MR diffusion tensor parameterin internal capsule white matter fiber of the normal, and discussion whether there aresome differences for distribution of MR diffusion tensor parameter in internal capsuleamong left and right, different position and different genders, in order to understandthe natural law for development and ageing of subcallosal internal capsule whitematter fiber.Methods: Choose217people who have no symptoms and signs of central nervoussystem and have no abnormal discovery by routine MR(3.0T Magnetom Trio Tim,Siemens, Germany). Examine these people by routine MR and DTI sequential scan inthe brain. Among them,207cases(M104, F103) are right-handed and group them to10groups by ages: Group1(≤1year old, M9, F7), Group2(2~3year old, M8, F7),Group3(4~6year old, M11, F10), Group4(7~12year old, M11, F11),Group5(13~18year old, M11, F8),Group6(19~29year old, M12, F13), Group7(30~39year old, M8, F13), Group8(40~49year old, M12, F13), Group9(50~59yearold, M12, F10) and Group10(60~80year old, M10, F11); Ten cases areleft-handedness volunteers (5cases are male and5cases are female,22~55year old).Deal with the primary data of DTI, and measure the ADC and FA values of the sameinterested area in bilateral internal capsule, then trace the fiber by Post-processingtools and perform statistical analysis of the data.Results:①The ADC value is evident reduced along with increasing of ages before18years old in internal capsule of healthy right-handed, and it is negative correlationwith ages. After18years old, The ADC value is up and then descended with changesin different. The FA value is increased along with increasing of ages before18yearsold, and it is positive correlation with ages. After18years old, The FA value is gradually reduced along with increasing of ages, and it is negative correlation withages. The changing trends for density of fiber bundle are basically as the same withFA.②There were no statistical differences for the FA, ADC values and density offiber bundle among different areas in internal capsule white matter fiber and differentgenders (p>0.05).③The FA value and density of fiber bundle in hindlimb of internalcapsule is high than that of internal capsule at the knees, which is high than that ofanterior limb of internal capsule (p<0.05).Conclusions:(1)diffusion tensor imaging can reflect the microscopic structure ofinternal capsule white matter fiber bundle, and it can apply to evaluate thedevelopment of internal capsule white matter fiber in brain.(2)There are differencesfor DTI parameters between different areas of internal capsule white matter projectionfibers in healthy adults.(3)The ADC, FA values and density of fiber bundle in brainof the normal obtained in this study can be used as a reference for further research infuture. Objective: Primary discussion for variation of DTI parameter values in patient withischemic stroke before and after rehabilitation by MR diffusion tensor imaging.Method: A total of14middle and old aged patients with unilateral acute cerebralischemic were examined by MRI (3.0T Magnetom Trio Tim,Siemens, Germany)andDTI sequence scanning within72hours after onset and8weeks after onset, and8patients of which was reviewed after rehabilitation therapy. Measuring the ADC andFA of the cerebral infraction and the normal brain tissue on the other side.Thencompared the differences of the ADC and FA in the cerebral infraction and the normalbrain tissue, the cerebral infraction before and after therapy was also analysed byt-test. rFA, rADC and NIHSS of the afflicted region before and after therapy wasanalysed by Spearman correlation analysis.The results have significant differencewhen P<0.05.Results:①In stroke patients, The ADC and FA values in infarcte area of whitematter were obviously less than that in normal hemisphere for the pre-hospital. Therewere significant statistical differences(ADCt=-2.849,P<0.05;FAt=-10.285,P<0.05).②The ADC and FA values of the infarcted focus were significantly improved8weeks after rehabilitation treatment. There were significant statistical differences(ADCt=6.206,P<0.05;FAt=3.788,P<0.05).③The rFA value in infarct region beforeand after therapy has significant negative correlations with NIHSS.There wassignificant statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusions: The orientation and degree of anisotropy changes of white matter fiberin infarct area couId be displayed by MR diffusion tensor imaging, which couIdprovide rehabilitation treatment prognosis of the disease with imaging basis.
