Background and objective: Bladder cancer is one of the most common malignanttumors in developed countries.In China bladder cancer is the tenth of themost common malignant tumors. In recent years the mortality of bladder cancergrows steady.The occurrence of bladder cancer is multifactorial, complexmulti-step process of change. Chemicals play an important role in bladdercancer. The chemicals used in the workplace was subsequently identified asor suspected to cause bladder cancer carcinogen. Abroad, the research showsthe various occupations and bladder cancer prevalence are statisticalsignificant. This study conducted an epidemiological study in China, to findthe relation of occupations and bladder cancer, and recommended to improveworking conditions and reduce men in the relevant workplace. The study willhelp to reduce the role played by occupational factors on the occurrence ofbladder tumors.Materials and methods: The objects of this study were new diagnosis patientswith bladder cancer and non-bladder cancer patients in the four largehospitals from southeastern China.396cases of bladder cancer patients and339controls were recruited. Collected through questionnaires in patientswith basic information, and access to occupational exposure and other dataof the respondents, using the ISCO classification of occupation of therespondents. Logisitic regression was used to assess all the associatedfactors, the odds ratio and corresponding95%confidence interval, and thecase-control analysis.Result: Business people and executives, male electrical and electronicindustry workers OR values were3.88and7.40; cleaners and assistant career OR0.21; handicrafts and printing industry, OR0.71, but no significantdifference.Conclusion: Business people and executives, men of the electrical andelectronics workers have a tendency to risk of bladder cancer; cleaners andassistant occupations have a protective effect on the risk of bladder cancer;printers occupational bladder cancer in this study no statisticallysignificantsignificance.
