By field investigation and laboratory analysis, the relationships between plant specie richness, biomass and nutritional component and pika population density were studied in A Wan-cang village, Maqu county, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. The main results are as follows:1. Plant total species richness and pika density were positively correlated, of which grass number was negatively correlated with pika density, forbs was positively correlated, while, sedges number had no relations with pika density.2. Plant total biomass and forbs biomass were positively correlated with pika density, grass biomass and sedge biomass, however, were negetively correlated with pika density.3. As the increasing of pika density, plant total protein, fat, NFE, and protein, fat, NFE, fiber and ash in forbs increased significantly, while total fiber, total ash and protein, fat, fiber NFE and ash in grass and sedges were decreased significantly. |
