In order to solve the problem of water-saving irrigation in the arid central area of Ningxia, this dissertation mainly uses the combined method of field test and theoretical analysis, with the water-saving irrigation technology, mathematical statistics technology and computer application technology as a tool to assist this dissertation. This dissertation systematically analyzes the experimental studies on membrane dripping irrigation law and irrigation system. The main research results are as follows:(1)The changing law of potato’s water consumption:the water consumption of the potatos during the period of growing show an upsurge trend with a falling trend ensuing. The water consumption volume and irrigation requirement volume have a close relationship of rising or falling at the same time with the same degree. When the times of irrigating remain at a certain level with the irrigation requirement volume varies each time when the irrigating occurs, the water consumption increases with the irrigation requirement volume rising. The changing law of water consumption is that irrigating3times> irrigating2times>irrigation1time. Through water balance equation, it can be calculated that the water consumption of potatoes with cover on them during the whole growth period is about168.12mm-206.09mm, the potatoes without a cover on them during the whole growth period is about180.72mm-216.91mm.(2) The changing rule of the characteristics of potatoes’growth:almost every indicators for potatoes during the whole growth show the trend of rising with decrease ensuing. When the times of irrigating stay at a fixed level, the required irrigation volume rises and falls at the same pace with every indicator. When the number of the times of the required irrigation volume stays at a fixed level, the number of times of irrigating increases with all growth indicators rising. Moreover, the growth indicators of potatoes with covers on them is higher than that of potatoes without covers.(3) the changing law of potato quality indicators:quality indexes during potatoes’growing period show the trend of rising at the first place and then dropping, when the number of times of irrigation remain at a fixed level, the required irrigation volume increases with the quality index becoming higher; the test results show that the potatoes during the tuber formation period and tuber growth period is the most sensitive. The quality indexes of the potatoes with cover is higher than that of the potatoes without covers, the potatoes under the dropping conditions were higher than that of the potatoes which is not under the dripping irrigation system.(4) The correlation between the yield of potato and drip irrigation quota:relevant studies indicate that drip irrigation quota is a main factor influencing the yield and that they are significantly correlated. Under trial conditions, they are in positive correlation. When the drip irrigation quota is300m3/hm2, the yield will show the most obvious increase.(5) The gap of economic returns for the potatoes with cover and without cover is obvious. Under the experimental conditions this time, the economic returns of the potatoes of A7with cover reached12529.72yuan/hm2, which represent the best economic returns. The economic returns of the potato B5without cover is the lowest, producing2459.28yuan/hm2. The potatoes with cover generated a average economic return of11812.8yuan/hm2. The potatoes without cover generate an average economic return of3734.96yuan/hm2, representing an2.16times of the potatoes with cover.(6) The Enactment of the Drip Irrigation under Film:based on the research results of potato test above, this research aims at excellent growth, good quality and remarkable economic benefits of potatoes.As for drip irrigation system under plastic film, the System of Coated Potato A7Processing is more reasonable under the condition of the test, that is, potatoes are irrigated three times in the full growth duration with irrigation quota of300m3/hm2, and irrigation should be in seedling stage, potato tuber formation and tuber growth. Such experiment shows that the irrigation system is suitable for potato cultivation in central Ningxia.The research results of this paper solves some problems of water-saving irrigation technology of potato in arid area of central Ningxia, provides a theoretical basis for the system of drip irrigation under film, and contributes to the development of potato industry in the central arid areas of Ningxia.
